Eligibility conditions

Below the moorland line, on land with low sensitivity to agroforestry (blue areas on the Forestry Commission map)
An average of 51–130 trees per ha with potential canopy cover under 20%
Areas with historic or archaeological features are ineligible

What you'll do

Maintain an established low-density in-field agroforestry system (at least 51 trees/ha) on less sensitive land — replace dead trees to hold the density, protect them from livestock and pests, manage weeds around them, and prune as they establish.

Evidence to keep

Field operation records at parcel level, with invoices
Dated photos of the trees and their protection
A record of any tree replacement
