• Added automatically when your agreement includes qualifying SFI actions — you don't apply for it separately

What you'll do

The management payment is automatic — it helps cover the time and admin of running your SFI agreement. It's paid on up to the first 50 hectares you've entered into SFI actions (boundary features and building actions count via a notional hectarage): £40 per hectare in the first year of your agreement, then £20 per hectare in the following 2 years, paid with your normal quarterly instalments. There's nothing extra to do and no evidence to keep for it.
